You talked.....and we listened. Shape Burlington, a committee of independent residents formed at the request of the Mayor, is pleased to release their findings after 4 months of interactions with Burlingtonians from all walks of life. We spoke with City Hall staffers, elected officials, department heads and most importantly, you. Read our report and our 8 recommendations derived from changes you want to see - and changes that would make Burlington a more engaged city.

With the publication of the Shape Burlington Report, the remit of the Mayor's Citizen Advisory Committee on Civic Engagement (Shape Burlington) under its Terms of Reference ended. The original function of this website was to provide news about the work of Shape Burlington, and to assist in the collection of data and citizen input on local issues to enable the writing of that report.
This website currently operates purely as a repository for the report itself. It has therefore been decided to suspend the website forum until further notice.
The future of the Shape Burlington committee is currently under discussion. We hope in due course a reconstituted website with forum capability will be available again to the citizens of Burlington.
